14 Karat refers to the metal mix that is 58.3% gold, itt is an alloy composition made of gold and durable metals like zinc, silver & copper. With 14K gold, the metal is beautiful and durable for everyday wear.

Unlike solid gold jewelry, gold-filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold bonded to a base of another metal, such as brass. Gold-filled jewelry is waterproof and doesn’t oxidize or corrode. With little to no care, your gold-filled jewelry will last 1-3 years.

You can clean your welded jewelry and charms with warm water, a gentle tooth brush and dish soap. People with pacemakers or allergies to the metals used should avoid permanent jewelry due to the welding process and potential allergic reactions.

To remove your permanent jewelry, we recommend using nail clippers, wire cutters, or strong scissors to break the weld. We encourage you to locate the jump ring where it was originally welded & clip it there, making the reattachment process simple if you decide you want to put it back on later. The small gold ring should break easily with a sharp tool.
